Founded in 1980, Long Island Cares brings together resources for the benefit of the hungry and food-insecure on Long Island and to provide for the humanitarian needs of our community. The goals of Long Island Cares are to improve food security for families, sponsor programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency, and educate the public about the root causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island.

Wounded Warrior Project

The Wounded Warrior Project provides programs and resources to strengthen the well-being of our injured service members and their loved ones.

Life Is Good
The Life Is Good organization embarks on fundraising activities, primarily through selling premium tees, and donates a percentage of the net profits to the Life Is Good Playmaker Project.
The Playmaker Project teaches professionals how to use the power of play to build healing, life-changing relationships with the most vulnerable kids in their care.
“Playmakers” are trained to build life-changing, healing relationships with children suffering from traumas, such as abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction.
